THE ORIGINS OF S.H.A.R.E.
S.H.A.R.E. stands for Supplying Humanity with Achievements, Resources, and Education.
This original acronym was coined by our founder around the year 2000 to be the foundation for a group of companies related to real estate, investing, finance, and business.
The concept revolves around the idea of the founder to be a productive member of society and to always provide a business or service that not only makes a profit, but benefits the society at large in multiple ways.
THE ORIGINS OF SCDC
The name S.H.A.R.E. Community Development Corp was originally incorporated in 2004 as a non-profit organization with the intent to build low-income single family homes that were to be simple structures built out of concrete.
The idea came from our founder as he experienced hurricanes and their devastating destruction in Texas and other gulf coast regions. More importantly, he also witnessed that as many of these hurricanes ravaged island nations, that simple concrete homes would be left standing when just about everything else had been destroyed.
During this time while managing a successful home building, investment, and mortgage company, the concept was developed to start a non-profit that would focus on this much needed improvement in the housing market. Due to the economic collapse of the housing market in the early 2000s, this dream was not fulfilled at that time.
Over 15 years later, the new SCDC was incorporated in February of 2022 as a for-profit corporation with a purpose to develop new insulated concrete panel construction multifamily apartment communities. This idea stemmed from the additional knowledge and experience that our founder gained after moving into the multifamily field following the economic collapse of the banks and sub-prime mortgage companies in the early 2000s.

Mr. Abdur-Raheem is a professional entrepreneur with over 36 years of combined experience and success in real estate, development, construction, landscaping, architectural design, investments, management, business startup, business consulting, mortgage and finance, stock trading, sales, advertising and marketing, restaurant hospitality, and entertainment promotions and management.
Odell was born in Memphis, Tn and lived there until moving with his family in 1982 to complete his high school years in Houston, Texas. After high school, Odell attended the University of Houston to study accounting and computer programming. Success found Odell early as an outstanding salesman where at the age of 18 he became the youngest assist store manager for a nationwide furniture store causing him to relocate to Mobile, AL. temporarily. Within 8 months, Odell then became the youngest store manager for the company being relocated back to Houston to manager his own store at the age of 19.
Shortly afterwards, Odell began a successful life as an entrepreneur working with his mother in a family owned personal injury claims firm. This financial success lead to Odell's initial launch into real estate investing and other entrepreneurial ventures that span his 36 years of experience as a business owner and investor in multiple businesses.
Odell has owned or been a part of many successful business start-ups ranging from real estate investing, landscape design and construction, home building, mortgage and finance, advertising and marketing, business consulting company, music production and promotions, restaurant, a hair salon, and others, just to name a few.
Odell also has seven amazing kids, five grandkids, and a wonderful mother that has been his business advisor for his entire career.
