SOLID CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION
Pre-cast insulated concrete construction is considered to be better than concrete block construction because it offers more thermal and acoustic insulation, increased fire resistance, faster installation, improved durability and more cost-effectiveness. It also has higher load-bearing capacity and less moisture absorption than traditional concrete blocks.
Additionally, pre-cast panels require less labor on the jobsite, leading to a faster project completion time. SCDC's pre-cast insulated concrete panels are much more durable than concrete blocks, making them better able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
Pre-cast panels can be made with different materials and thicknesses, providing more options for meeting insulation needs, and the entire process of pre-casting the panels in a controlled environment leads to improved product quality control compared to onsite installation.
The disadvantages of building with concrete blocks include the high cost of the material, limited design options, and potential cracking or breaking due to stress. In addition, concrete blocks are heavy and difficult to work with and may require additional support structures during construction. Lastly, installation is time-consuming due to the need to stack and mortar each block.
Pre-cast insulated concrete panel construction is superior to concrete block construction because it is generally easier to install, requires less labor and time to assemble, and offers a higher quality finish.
